This is what they looked like when I started the restoration. Rusty and nasty green/blue.
Sand blast and one coat of acid etch paint. Two coats of primer. Four coats of Beige and four coats of lacquer.
The best part fitting the whitewall tyres. mmmm.
The finished item look great (well I think so) ready to fit to the Lambretta LD.
The front Hub was not so nice. the bearings were shot. Even had several ball bearings missing...
Remove the cir clip push each bearing out clean out old solidfied grease.tap in bearing replace cir clip. Turn over hub place the spacer in the center. tap in the bearing re fit new grease nipple and fill cavity with grease.http://www.shermonkel.com/
